Dress Consignment

OUR PROCESS

If you have new or gently used prom and homecoming gowns bring them to Gypsy and cash in! Here are three simple steps to help you get started:


STEP ONE: EVALUATION

In order to maintain the pristine quality of our inventory, we ask that you be selective and take the time to prepare only your best items. Gypsy Soul Boutique requires that the following criteria be met:

  • Articles should be generally no older than 3 years (exceptions may be made based on the style of the dress, but this is a general rule)

  • Articles should be in new or like-new condition.

  • Articles should be freshly dry-cleaned or laundered, and stain free.

  • Articles should arrive on hangers rather than folded in bags.

STEP TWO: PRICING

Please leave all original price tags in place if the garment is brand new/never worn. Gypsy Soul will help determine the selling price of all items based on age, condition, brand, style, size and demand. Consignors are paid 60% of the final selling price less any taxes.


STEP THREE: PAYMENT

Consignment payments are processed every month. Once the consigned item has been sold, your check will be cut the 10th of the following month. 

Consignment agreements are based on a 3-month period. After the 6-month period, you may either donate your items to Gypsy Soul or pick them up. It is the consignor’s responsibility to keep track of the pick-up dates. All items not picked up within 14 days after the contract end date will automatically become the property of Gypsy Soul without further notice. 

You can also use any consignment earnings as store credit, and you will receive a 10% credit bonus with this option! If you have $100 in credit, it will be worth $110 towards your purchase. Just check the box on your consignment form indicating you would like to take advantage of this option, or you can ask a store associate to change your account at any time. You may also change your account back to receiving a check at any time, just ask any consultant to make the change to your account.

Consignment Agreement

*Gypsy Soul will determine the selling price of all items based on age, condition, brand, style, size, and demand.  Items must be current styles, no older than 3-4 years in age.  We reserve the right to refuse any item if we do not feel we can obtain the asking price.  Gypsy Soul agrees to pay the consigner 60% of the final selling price less any taxes.

*All consigned items are subject to sales. 

*The consignment agreement is based on a 3-month period.  After the 3-month period is up, the seller has the option of donating to Gypsy Soul or picking up their items.  It is the consignor’s responsibility to keep track of the pick-up dates.  All items not picked up within 14 days after the contract end date will automatically become the property of Gypsy Soul without further notice.

*Once the consigned item has been sold, your check will be cut no later than the 10th of the following month. 

*Consignor will not attempt to sell to others while the dress is under contract with Gypsy Soul.  Dress must be picked up and taken out of inventory before it can be posted on any other sale sites.

*Gypsy Soul cannot hold insurance on inventory it does not own.  We are very careful and trustworthy, but assume NO liability for fire, flood, theft, damage, or wear.  Your items are being tried on and handled and some wear should be expected at time of pick up.

*This agreement shall be binding upon the parties, and upon their heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators, and assigns.  No representatives or promises have been made except those that are set out in this agreement.
